The Outreach Program for Soccer (TOPS) is a soccer program for those with special needs. A TOPS soccer player is defined as any individual, 6-21-years of age, with a physical or mental disability, who would like to play with others based on ability rather than age. Children with autism, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, and other disabilities have thrived in this program.
TOPS emphasizes teamwork, development, training, and participation. Our goal is to enable young athletes with special needs to develop their physical fitness, technical skills, courage, and self-esteem through soccer.
TOPS sessions are held on Sunday afternoons at Creekview Park, Mechanicsburg, PA, during the Fall and Spring seasons. Our TOPS program is open to individuals 6-21-years of age, including those who live outside the Cumberland Valley School District.
We need volunteers to make this program a success! TOPS needs mentors (students in 9th-12th grade) to serve as “Buddies” during the training sessions. Please indicate your willingness to be a volunteer by filling out a Buddy Registration.
Registrations for the Fall and Spring seasons are accepted throughout the year. The cost is $50 per player. Uniforms are ordered by the club for all registrations completed prior to the beginning of the each season. For registrations completed during a season, uniform delivery may be delayed.
