MECHANICSBURG, Pa. — Eagle FC Women are excited to welcome back the 2025 USL W League POY and MF/F Emily Banashefski for the upcoming 2026 USL W League season. A key contributor during the 2025 campaign, Banashefski returns after an impactful summer that helped propel Eagle FC to another successful Mid-Atlantic Division title.
A dynamic and reliable midfielder from Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, Banashefski made her mark in the 2025 USL W League season by logging 800 minutes for Eagle FC, scoring three goals, and playing a central role in the club’s third consecutive Mid-Atlantic Division championship. Her performances earned league-wide recognition, including Mid-Atlantic Division Player of the Year honors and selection to the 2025 USL W League All-League First Team, cementing her status as one of the league’s top midfielders.
At the collegiate level, Banashefski completed an outstanding career at La Salle University, competing in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Across five seasons with the Explorers, she appeared in 82 matches with 71 starts, recording 8 goals and 11 assists while logging more than 6,100 minutes. In 2023, she was one of only two players to start all 21 matches and finished tied for third on the team in scoring.
Before her collegiate and pre-professional success, Banashefski enjoyed a prolific high school career, totaling 87 goals and 37 assists. Her accolades included three-time First Team Eastern Pennsylvania Conference All-Star, Pennsylvania All-State Team selection, Pocono Player of the Year, and honors on the United Soccer Coaches All-Eastern Region Team.
