MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – The Eagle FC Women would like to welcome George Gemberling as the final member of the Eagle FC 2022 USL-W Coaching Staff. Over 22 years of coaching experience, George Gemberling is the current Varsity Girls Soccer Coach at Cumberland Valley, where he has led them to a overall record of 144-22-7, leading the program to multiple Mid-Penn Conference Championships, multiple PIAA District Championships, and two PIAA State Semi-Finalists.
Coaching Career / Qualifications:
I am excited to have an opportunity to work with some of the best local talent we have watched over the years. Some former players, some extremely competitive rivals, and some highly skilled players from outside central PA. I am also proud to be able to coach for a club that was the home to my family throughout our youth, which provided us with such great learning experiences. From coaches like Kenjarski, Marhefka McNally, Verber, Feniger, Broniak, Honeysett , Wachs, Findley Weisburg, and Wild.
To think that Charles Bowers -started Hampden soccer in 1976 and to see how far the community has grown to continuously bring another level to soccer with this new USL-W Team.
This job also allowed me to get back on the sideline with head coach Toan Ngo a former player and former assistant coach with the CV girls program.
