MECHANICSBURG, PA – June 27, 2025 – The United Soccer League (USL) announced today that Eagle FC will join USL League Two, with the men’s pre-professional team set to kick off its inaugural season in 2026.
Founded in 1976, Eagle FC has been a cornerstone of Central Pennsylvania’s soccer landscape for nearly five decades. With approximately 1,500 players across a wide range of programs—from the U6-U9 Futures program to U8-U19 competitive teams and pre-professional USL W women’s and USL Two men’s squads—Eagle FC continues to build a pathway for player development. The club also offers a U10-U19 recreational league, a growing homeschool program, and a longstanding TOPSoccer program for players with disabilities. Eagle FC joined the USL W League during its inaugural season in 2022 and has since won the Mid Atlantic Division Title in 2023, 2024, and 2025. Eagle FC’s debut season in League Two coincides with Eagle FC’s 50th anniversary.
“We’re incredibly excited to bring the Eagle FC men into our pre-professional ranks,” said Joel Nash, USL SVP of Youth and Pre-Professional Properties. “They have a long-standing track record for success in player development that has made them irreplaceable in Central Pennsylvania’s sports culture. Their club has gotten off to a flying start in the W League and we are eager to see what they can do in League Two.”
“Eagle FC has a long history of producing quality youth players and we are thrilled for the opportunity to join the USL League Two men’s platform,” said Eagle FC Club President Christina Loss. “These accomplishments continue to show how our club is growing and progressing.”
Eagle FC will be a member of the Mid Atlantic Division in USL League Two’s Eastern Conference.
“Eagle FC is excited to join the USL League Two beginning in the 2026 season,” said Brian Redding, Eagle FC Director of Coaching. “Our players, coaches, and leadership are looking forward to the challenge of competing in League Two.”
The announcement follows the successful 2025 debut of the Eagle FC Men’s U23 team. Building on that momentum and the continued success of the Eagle FC Women’s team, the club believes the timing was right.
In addition to elevating the level of competition for players and fans alike, Eagle FC sees its membership in USL League Two and the W League as an opportunity to further invest in its youth players and the greater soccer community. From watching games as fans on the sidelines, to being coached and mentored by USL players, to one day wearing the jersey themselves, local youth players now have a tangible and inspiring pathway.
