MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – The Eagle FC Women would like to welcome back St. John’s University Goalkeeper, Malene Nielsen for the 2025 Eagle FC USL W League Season!
Malene Nielsen, a native of Juelsminde, Denmark, following a standout collegiate career. Nielsen spent two successful seasons at Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU), where she made 41 appearances, starting every match. Her exceptional performances earned her Northeast Conference Goalkeeper of the Year honors and First-Team All-NEC recognition. Nielsen led her team to the NEC Conference Finals while ranking 21st in the nation for minutes played, 13th in shutouts, and within the top 50 for total saves.
Most recently, Nielsen made 18 appearances for St. John’s University, logging over 1000 minutes of action.
Nielsen returns to Eagle FC after an impressive season last summer, where she appeared in 11 matches, starting 10 and playing 750 minutes. She posted 8 clean sheets, allowed only 7 goals, and played a crucial role in leading the team to its second Mid-Atlantic title.
