MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – The Eagle FC Women would like to welcome Frauen Team Berner Oberland Midfiedler/Forward for the 2024 Eagle FC USL W League Season!
A native of Doylestown, PA, Ainsley has returned to soccer, seven years after her successful youth career with the NH Classics and NH Phantoms as one of New England’s top scorers. Most recently, Ainsley was playing for Frauen Team Berner Oberland in Thun, Switzerland headed for the Swiss Super League. Smart chose to return to the United States and play for Eagle FC with the intent to continue on to play professionally. Her career in music and film originally put a pause on her soccer dreams at 18, and now she has returned to the game with something left to prove.
I am honored and excited to get to return to the US to play football with the Eagle FC in the USL W League, and with so many incredible women. I never quite felt like my football journey was finished, and I am excited to see where it will lead
