Mechanicsburg, PA – July 14, 2025 – The 2025 CCL Pro 23 Cup was brought home to Mechanicsburg late last night following a dominant 5-0 win over Loudoun / Northern Virginia in the final.
The Eagle FC Men advanced to the CCL Pro Final Four after winning a competitive Maryland division outright with a 5-1 record earning 15pts while scoring 14 goals and only conceding 5. The team advanced to the final following a 4-2 semifinal victory against Alexandria SA.
In the final vs. Northern Virginia, Caleb Sitler struck first with a powerful left footed strike in the 20th minute. Goalkeeper Bryson Shaull was solid all night making several important saves to keep the game 1-0 going into the half.
Following some direction and adjustments from the coaching staff, the second half opened up for Eagle FC. In the 50th minute, Tai San drove a beautiful bending and dipping free kick inside the post followed by his signature backflip celebration. Going into the 72nd minute, Ethan Flickinger hit a long switching ball into the box that Tai San redirected across the front of the goal. The ball deflected off a NVA defender for an own goal. Shortly after, NVA had a player sent off in the 75th minute. Loc San smashed a low driven shot into the side panel in the 81st minute. A second red card was issued to NVA in the 84th minute and Michael Selan finished the match in the 88th minute with a one-time finish off a Jason Goldfeder cross. Cohen Redding was also instrumental in the build up to the fourth and fifth Eagle FC goals.
With the win, Eagle FC became the first Pennsylvania based team to win the CCL Pro 23 cup. It was a satisfying achievement for the first ever Eagle FC Men’s group and will be an outstanding launching point going into the inaugural USL Two season in 2026.
