The Eagle FC Women traveled to Shenandoah University on Sunday, June 25, 2023 to take on Virginia Marauders where they had an opportunity to clinch a spot in the 2023 USL W League Playoffs with a win. The Eagle FC Women had countless opportunities in the 1st half, but was unable to find the back of the net. With 29 minutes left in the game, Eagle FC broke through from a slotted ball through from Melina Descary to Meg Tate who tucked away.
Cassy Baker and Leah Hayes kept the clean sheet secure the win for Eagle FC. The team will travel to Christos FC on June 30, 2023 for their final regular season match. Christos FC has 3 matches remaining and with any combination of a tie or loss, Eagle FC will head into the 2023 USL W League Playoffs as the Mid-Atlantic Division Champions!
