Mechanicsburg, PA Eagle FC (7-0-1) continue their winning ways against Richmond Ivy on Saturday night.
In an exciting match at Mountain View Middle School, Eagle FC emerged victorious with a 2-0 win. The game kicked off with both teams showcasing intense determination, but it was Eagle FC who drew first blood in the 7th minute with a goal from Courtney Butlion assisted by Nikayla Small who played a precise through ball between the two defenders. Richmond Ivy would have several chances but unable to put them away.
As the match progressed, Eagle FC continued to dominate possession and press forward relentlessly. Their persistence paid off again in the 57th minute with a lovely over the top ball from Phoebe Hollin to Justyse Hollenbach who would slot it past the keeper. Despite Richmond Ivy’s efforts to mount a comeback, Eagle FC’s defense held firm, with phenomenal saves from Malene Nielsen denying any clear-cut opportunities. With last nights clean sheet, this is Eagle FC’s fifth of the season.
