Share Points On The Road

Mechanicsburg, PA Eagle FC and Christos FC share the points after a very entertaining rivalry match on Wednesday night at Anne Arundel Community College.

Early in this match it was a bit back and forth between the two hungry teams. It wasn’t until the 22nd minute where Justyce Hollenbach would open the scoring after a lovely link up play between Courtney Butlion and Meg Tate. Christos would respond shortly after with a goal from Baylee DeSmit in the 27th minute. Lucy Fazackerley would have a great look at goal with a volley which Christos goalkeeper, Caroline Duffy managed to successfully save. Not too long after Nia Christopher would find the back of the net with a beautiful upper 90 strike with the keeper not having a chance for the save. Eagle FC would go into halftime with a 2-1 lead.

Opening the second half Christos would tie the game 2-2 with a goal from Payton Patrick in the 49th minute. Both teams would get great opportunities to put their team ahead but it wasn’t until the 70th minute where Muriel Kroflin would put Eagle FC ahead for the third time this match with a perfect cross from Phoebe Hollin. Unable to hold the lead, Eagle FC would concede a third goal by DeSmit for her second goal of the night. This rivalry would end in a 3-3 tie.

After four games on the road Eagle FC would play at home this Saturday at 6pm at Mountain View Middle School against newcomers Richmond Ivy. It will also be Food Truck Night! Come out and support your Eagle FC Women
