MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – The Eagle FC Women would like to welcome ACC and University of Louisville Goalkeeper Malene Nielsen for the 2024 Eagle FC USL W League Season!
A native of Juelsminde, Denmark, Malene was a member of the Denmark U15-U19 National Teams and was a member of the U17 National team that played in the European Championship Qualifier and the European Championship in Italy and Slovenia. Prior to transferring to Louisville, she spent two seasons at Fairleigh Dickinson University where she made 41 appearances (41 starts), was named Northeast Conference Goalkeeper of the year, named First-Team All-NEC, and led her to the NEC Conference Finals. During this time she was ranked 21st in the nation in minutes, 13th in the nation in shutouts, and top 50th in the country in total saves. Malene will joining us this summer before heading back to the University of Louisville.
It means a lot to me to play for Eagle FC in the USL W League. To be with a team/staff with such high ambitions and belief in their programs, players, and themselves is very important. It’s an enormous privilege to be a part of this team, and I can’t wait to play alongside talented teammates.
