Eagle FC Women Add UAB Standout Bolinger as Final 2026 Signing

Welcome Sydney Bolinger

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – Eagle FC Women are excited to announce the signing of UAB defender/midfielder Sydney Bolinger as the club’s final addition ahead of the 2026 USL W League season.

A native of Linthicum Heights, Maryland, and a Pipeline Academy alum, Bolinger joins the squad following two strong seasons at UAB, where she developed into a consistent and reliable presence across the back line and midfield. During the 2025 campaign, she started 14 of 16 matches, logging over 1,200 minutes while contributing one goal and one assist.

She built on that performance after a productive 2024 season, where she appeared in 15 matches with 14 starts, recording two goals and one assist while surpassing 1,200 minutes of action. Across both seasons, Bolinger established herself as a key contributor, known for her ability to control tempo and provide stability in both defensive and midfield roles.

A dynamic and physical defender/midfielder, Bolinger brings size, composure, and versatility to multiple areas of the pitch. Standing at 5-foot-10, she has demonstrated the ability to impact the game in all phases, contributing in the attack while maintaining a strong defensive presence.

Prior to UAB, Bolinger began her collegiate career at the University of Kentucky in 2023. Before her time at the collegiate level, she was a standout performer, serving as a four-year high school captain and club soccer captain. She earned All-State honors, was named First Team All-County, and was recognized on an All-American watchlist. During her senior season, she scored 15 goals, highlighting her ability to contribute in the attack.

Bolinger will reunite with Pipeline Academy teammate Finley Lavin and UAB teammate Mia Leath as Eagle FC Women prepare for the 2026 USL W League season.

Welcome Sydney, pending USL W League and federation approval.
