Mechanicsburg, PA Eagle FC (10-1-1) clinched playoffs and are the Mid Atlantic Division Champions for the second year in a row with a 3-0 win over Nova FC on Saturday night.
Eagle FC would go out hard in the early minutes applying pressure to Nova FC’s defense. In the 8th minute Courtney Butlion would find the back of the net with a beautiful volley put outside of the goalkeepers reach. Eagle FC would not stop there as Justyse Hollanbach would get on the end of a perfect cross from Annalise Mann in the 24th minute. Jamie Swartz would add her name to the score sheet in the 38th minute after a successful dribble from about the halfway line slotting it in the near post.
Due to weather conditions the game was put on hold with 6 minutes left in the half.The game would remain 3-0 to Eagle FC.
Your Eagle FC Women will be hosting the USL W League Eastern Conference Playoffs starting this Friday, July 5, 2024 at 7:00 PM against Metropolitan Division Champions Long Islander Rough Riders. Chef Tony’s Food Truck will be onsite with great food!
All matches will be played at Mountain View Middle School with the Eastern Conference Finals being held on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at 5:30 PM.
