The Outreach Program for Soccer (TOPS) is a soccer program for those with special needs. A TOPS soccer player is defined as any individual, 6-21-years of age, with a physical or mental disability, who would like to play with a team based on ability, rather than age. Children with autism, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, and other disabilities have thrived in this program.
TOPS emphasizes teamwork, development, training, and participation. Our goal is to enable young athletes with special needs to develop their physical fitness, technical skills, courage, and self-esteem through the game of soccer.
TOPS sessions are held on Sunday afternoons at Creekview Park, Mechanicsburg, PA, during the fall/spring seasons. Again, the TOPS program is open to any individual 6-21-years of age, including those who live outside the Cumberland Valley School District.
We need volunteers to make this program a success! TOPS needs mentors (age 14 and up) to serve as “buddies” during the training sessions. Please indicate your willingness to be a volunteer on your registration form. Also, if you are interested in participating or have any questions, please contact Mr. Scott Cantor, our TOPS coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Registrations for the fall/spring seasons are accepted throughout the year, and our online system is currently open for the 2020 fall season. Please click on the registration link below to sign up for this fantastic program.
