2024 USL (Women) Internships

The Eagle FC USL Women’s team is looking to add passionate, driven individuals to our team to help grow and promote Central Pennsylvania’s newest women’s soccer team. We are seeking various summer interns for the upcoming 2024 USL W League Season that runs from Mid-May 2024 – Early July 2024.

Broadcasting Intern (2 Positions):

As a Broadcasting Intern for the Eagle FC USL W League team, you’ll assist in all aspects of broadcasting for 6 Eagle FC home matches. As a chosen candidate, creativity, hard work, a positive attitude, and dedication are musts. Duties will include, but not limited to:

Operation of camera during 6 Eagle FC W League Home Matches
Provide Play-by-Play commentary
Interviewing of Coaches and Players

Requirements of Position:

Must be local to Central Pennsylvania
At least 1 year of college or out of college broadcasting experience (play-by-play, analyst, sideline reporter, anchor)
Someone who will be comfortable on camera and conducting interviews
Must be energetic and have a love for the game of soccer.
Must demonstrate a high level of detail-orientation, especially under deadline pressure
Must display organization and communicative skills
Must possess a strong ability to manage one’s own time and prioritize tasks when given clearly defined goals and objectives

Game Day Announcer Intern (1 Positions):

As a Game Day Announcer Intern for the Eagle FC USL W League team, you’ll assist in being the PA Announcer for 6 Eagle FC home matches. As a chosen candidate, creativity, energetic, hard work, a positive attitude, and dedication are musts. Duties will include, but not limited to:

Game Day PA Announcer 6 Eagle FC W League Home Matches
Playing warmup music prior match
Announcing Goals / Assists during the game
Playing sound effects / music after each Eagle FC Goal

Requirements of Position:

Must be local to Central Pennsylvania
Must be energetic and have a love for the game of soccer.
Must demonstrate a high level of detail-orientation, especially under deadline pressure
Must display organization and communicative skills
Must possess a strong ability to manage one’s own time and prioritize tasks when given clearly defined goals and objectives

Game Day Operations Intern (1 Position):

As a Game Day Operations Intern for the Eagle FC USL W League team, you’ll assist in game day and post-game operations for 6 Eagle FC home matches. As a chosen candidate, creativity, hard work, a positive attitude, and dedication are musts. Duties will include, but not limited to:

Assist and direct volunteers in setup and tear down tents
Assist and direct volunteers in setup and tear down sponsorship boards
Ensure water is in home and visiting team’s locker rooms and on the bench
Ensure game day USL W paperwork (Referee Report and Stats Report) is submitted to the USL W League
Liaison and point of contact for away teams
Liaison and point of contact for referees

Requirements of Position:

Must be local to Central Pennsylvania
Must be energetic and have a love for the game of soccer.
Must demonstrate a high level of detail-orientation, especially under deadline pressure
Must display organization and communicative skills
Must possess a strong ability to manage one’s own time and prioritize tasks when given clearly defined goals and objectives

Social Media Intern (1 Position):

As a Social Media Intern for the Eagle FC USL W League team, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about all club communication and marketing efforts. As a chosen candidate, creativity, hard work, a positive attitude, and dedication are musts. The selected intern will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Develop Match Week, Match Day, Starting XI, and Half-Time / Full-Time Graphics for Social Media Platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram)
Developing promotional game graphics for Social Media Platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram)
Develop engagements post to Eagle FC USL W League Social Media Platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) throughout the week and during match day
Capture live social media content, including team training, 6 home games
and other Eagle FC USL W League sponsored events

Requirements of Position:

Must be local to Central Pennsylvania
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is necessary. Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign a must, After Effects, Camera Raw preferred
Must possess an excellent design sense
Must be able remain comfortable yet energetic in the creative process
Must demonstrate a high level of detail-orientation, especially under deadline pressure
Must display organization and communicative skills
Must possess a strong ability to manage one’s own time and prioritize tasks when given clearly defined goals and objectives
Must be energetic and have a love for the game of soccer.

Game Day Stats Intern (1 Position):

As a Game Day Stats Intern for the Eagle FC USL W League team, you’ll lead in capturing home / away team match stats for 6 Eagle FC home matches. As a chosen candidate, creativity, hard work, a positive attitude, and dedication are musts. The selected intern will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Capture Match Stats during 6 Eagle FC Home matches and completing the match Score Sheet.
Uploading Score Sheet and Referee Report to USL W League TeamWorks Platform
Uploading match stats to USL W League Website

Requirements of Position:

Must be local to Central Pennsylvania
Must demonstrate a high level of detail-orientation, especially under deadline pressure
Must display organization and communicative skills
Must possess a strong ability to manage one’s own time and prioritize tasks when given clearly defined goals and objective
